Memories
You know there are a lot of things in this world that trigger memories. Memories of childhood are the ones that most triggered with me. Growing up in Indiana I like to think that my fall and winter memories are like no other. I remember riding my bike in the snow wearing a snow mobile suit. But one of the few things that I never was able to take part in was the purchasing and setting up of a real christmas tree. My parents had and I believe still have a fake tree. So I knew nothing about them until I got married. Well after she left I didn't really see a purpose in getting a real tree let alone a tree at all. But two years a go I saw a pre-lit tree on sale at Target. So I bought it, thus completing my laziness and lack of care. I didn't even decorate the outside like I used to. The feeling just wasn't there. Then I met Michelle, and what do you know the feeling is starting to return. We went and got a tree today for her house, but then we came back to my house. When we did, I noticed that all the other houses are all decorated up. All but mine. Mine sits like a void in the light. But hopefully not after tomorrow. I have a bug. And that bug is needing to set up the lights and get a real tree. I know I will have to buy some lights, but damn it..... I want a tree!! Besides if we are going to be having a Christmas party here, I think I need to decorate my house.... Standby for photo's
