Pressure...

Well I know it has been a while since I have written for a while. And let me tell you things have changed in my life. But I'll get back to those changes later. I have to tell you my girlfriend Michelle (Yes I have a girlfriend and I am very very happy) is a Veterinarian. And let me just say she is an incredible vet. So tonight I went to where she works after I got off work to see her. But after I got there I saw just how good she is. When I walked in there was a dog who decided that it would be a good idea to eat an entire roasted chicken. I mean the whole chicken. He was given a dose of Apomorphine to make him regurge said chicken. She had another dog that thought that drinking an entire cup of dark chocolate hot chocolate would be a nice after dinner treat. So she was in there for chocolate toxicity. There was a pug with some issues, a couple cats. While she was treating and trying to fix all of these animals, the phone was ringing off the hook, and there were walk-ins coming in like crazy. Cindy one of her techs came in 5-6 times carrying different animals. And all the while Michelle was keeping her cool. Owners were going nuts over little things. Others were only interested in their pocket books. Having no concern towards their animals. Most other people would have been freaking out. But thru it all she was as cool as ice. It almost seemed like the more animals that came in the more relaxed she got. I know that it is nothing watching a real ER. But I would've loved to have video recorded it. Just to show people that contrary to popular belief vets really do know what they are doing. And when the name tag says DR or DVM...... They are a doctor. I only wish I could be as calm as that under pressure.....
