The ups and downs of life.... This one is an up.

So this entry today is not about the sadness of my life, or the pain that I go thru. No not today. Today is about the fulfillment of one dream. Since I was but child, I have loved photography. I love black and whites, full colors, randoms and everything in between. I had always wanted to buy a nice DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) camera. But my ex-wife always told me that I need to learn to take pictures with my little point and shoot camera. Well with that I always felt confined and limited. So shortly after she left, I did what I had always wanted. I bought a DSLR. I spent the money and bought a Canon EOS Rebel. I have learned thru the web and reading and studying how to take the pictures that I have always reveled. And now it looks like my efforts could be paying off. I have been asked a couple of times now to take photo's of people in their lives. And now I think all of my efforts are starting to pay off. I have recently been going to a lot of local concerts for local up and coming bands. I am now being approached by bands to do some photo shoots for them. I am still very much an amateur in this arena, but this is something that I have wanted to do for a very very long time. One artistic outlet down.... many more to go. I'll keep you updated on how its going.....
