Happy Daddy's Day
So today is Fathers Day 2010! Another year of being alone. I have my kids today. And like I always do, I am spoiling the hell outta them. Its my job to spoil them. Colby wants taters for breakfast so I make him taters. Infact I went to the store the other day with him in my head. I bought a 50lb bag of taters for my lil tater kid. I swear that kid would live on taters if he could. I remember a friend of mine growing up would eat nothing but mashed potatoes. She loved them. I was recently re-introduced to the group Blues Traveler. And I can't wait to listen to every single one of these songs. I have listened to quite a few already. And I can see why people love this music. Its full of life, and full of meaning.
So as I type this my son Colton is on the phone with my dad. They don't get to talk much, but any chance I get to let my boys to talk to their grand-dad I do it. To me there is nothing more beautiful than to see a child learn from the his grand parents about the "good ole' days". Back when watermelons were stolen out patches. O seeing the old steam trains run thru town going to the big city of Chicago. Watching the childrens eyes light up as they learn things that only grand parents can teach. Such a wealth of information..... such an open dry sponge to pour all the information and knowledge into......
